  Overall, very nice accomodations for our 8 people. The king-sized beds in every room were wonderful, along with the spa tubs. As advertised, the enteranceway was rather steep -made bringing in luggage and supplies a little challenging, but do-able. Did feel compelled to rewash all dishes before use as found spoon in drawer caked with dried peanut butter. Otherwise, house very clean, comfortable with plenty of room and we enjoyed our stay.

  We had a wonderful time at the Huckleberry Haven property. It was the perfect size for our family of nine. We loved the screened-in deck and spent a lot of time out there. We also loved that there were four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We plan to return next year

  From the picture we knew the front had steps, however the walkway leading up to the steep stairs was extremely steep. We had several handicapped people in our group and was hoping we could access cabin from the back. In the back was a road, not connected to the cabin and a railroad whose trains woke us up several times during the night. Also, the only parking spot was in front on the narrow road. We loved the inside of the cabin and the screened in porch was great. We would stay there again if there were no handicapped people in our group.

Be sure to let the Reservationist know any details regarding stairs, access, etc. when you book so she can make sure the property that you rent fits all your needs. These lodges were developed specifically for vacation rentals so parking was designed for short term stays and the way that the land lays here, it's hard to find anything that is level but we can make sure we get as close as possible.   We enjoyed the screened in back porch, the roomy cabin and whirlpools bathtubs. We thought it would have been nice to have more dishes, more detergent for the dishwasher. A map of the grounds would be nice but apparently none are available. We had a very favorable opinion of the lodge.

  Our stay was an awesome experience. The property was clean, well maintained and in a great location. Did have some problems with the internet, and a ceiling fan on the back porch would be nice. But overall, one of the better places we have stayed in.
